Sleeping Disorders
Many studies have been conducted to determine what causes sleep apnea and sleeping disorders. Sleep apnea causes interference of natural breathing during sleep. The CPAP compresses air to keep the air passage open so breathing occurs regularly.
The correct pressure is identified during a sleep study. After a person’s sleep is observed, a recommendation is made for the sleep apnea diagnosis to determine the likely treatment to be most effective. This is not to be confused with central sleep apnea or obstructive sleep apnea.
